Grammy nominations were announced last night & as to be expected Beyonce has a boat load... hahaha so does Taylor Swift #Kanyeshrug! Any category that has Kings of Leon-Use Somebody nominated I want them to win, especially in categories that really go to the song writer (song of the year, record of the year)... being as the brothers wrote the song with no outside credited source. Keri Hilson is up for new artist but I think that is a bit much... personally... Black Eye Peas got a few noms, so did Jamie Foxx... Kelly Rowland managed to sneak in there... Kid Cudi received 2 & so did Drake who doesn't even have an album out... I put up all the rap categories because come show night only 1 or 2 awards will actually be televised... we're going to stop pretending rap isn't a mayor genre in music... they may need to step it up in the content department but non-the-less... but check how Jay-Z is nominated twice in 1 category... talk about the odds being in your favor! In order to qualify recordings had to be released during the eligibility year October 1, 2008 through August 31, 2009. We'll have to wait until 2011 to see Alicia & Rihanna battle it out!

CREED Flagship Store Comes to New York

Privately owned French fragrance house CREED will be opening it's first flagship store in the states... normally one would have to go to Saks 5th ave or Nordstroms, but now the entire collection will be housed under one roof. The 400-square-foot boutique will open this month on Madison Avenue, at the corner of 67th Street. In addition to the current running lines customers both men & women will be able to purchase exclusive reintroductions from the archives...

Rockerfeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting

It's the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving & that means it's time to get festive! Like really festive... like I'll stand outside from 3pm to wait for a tree to light up at 8:55pm festive...

The annual Rockerfeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony takes place later this evening... special guest include The Roots, The Radio City Rockettes, Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin & Shaikra to name a few... the televised special starts at 7pm for those of you who don't mind watching the festivities from the comfort of your own home...

In case your visiting Rockerfeller Center is located at Rockefeller Plaza... it stretches from West 48th Street to West 51st Street between 5th & 6th Avenues... the F, V, B & D trains stop directly underneath Radio City Music Hall, which is just around the corner from the skating rink (Rockerfeller Center)...

If you've never been or attempted to go in the past expect a big massive crowd! It shouldn't be volatile though... most of the people are in the holiday spirit! Dress warm!

Product + Consumers + (RED) = Relief

Yesterday was World AIDS awareness day & (RED) pop-up stores made appearances all across the globe, from New York to Tokyo. Normally the GAP runs a product line all year long, but this year other popular brands got involved in a big way... Apple, Dell, Starbucks, Hallmark, Converse & others created either product or packaging to help raise money for the cause. A portion of all sales are contributed to the Global Fund to Help Fight AIDS in Africa.

Posen's Go International line for target will be available in stores & online from April 25-May 30 2010... He has yet to announce a price range, but I'm sure it won't run you more than $150.00

Giving Thanks!

Hello readers (new, loyal & indifferent)... this was the first year in about 8 or 9 years that I did not spend Thanksgiving with my nuclear family... furthermore it was my first Thanksgiving away from New York... I left bright & early Wednesday morning... well let me retract the bright part, it was pitch black when I left out at 5:30am to head to the airport. It's really interesting to see so many people traveling right before a holiday... scurrying to or from.

As I walked through the airport after I landed at my destination, I recall seeing a family... one daughter had just returned home... she hugged her sister, then her mom & lastly her dad... as she was hugging her dad her sister said "awe, dad is gonna cry." The older sister then said to her father as they were embracing "dad you better not cry, I'm going off of 2 hours of sleep... I'll cry too." I over heard & saw this in passing... but it was one of those moments that we must all savor even if it's not our own...

I get really sentimental about family & love... it's truly the littlest things in life that make me happy... & I'm thankful! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday :)

Jay-z walked the red carpet last night for the official opening of Fela! Kinda weird seeing Jay all by himself... even last week at Diddy's party... there was no Beyonce... he sat with his right hand man Ty-Ty & Beyonce's cousin Angie...

Recently the New York Post reported that Victoria Secret reps pleaded with Jay to take pics with the models at the fashion show... to which he refused & said it was out of respect for Beyonce... so cute!

New Moon hasn't even in been in theaters a good week yet... & already we're #ontothenextone!

What to expect... OK, so in New Moon Edward & the rest of the Cullens clan leave town... Bella misses him so much she begins to have hallucinations... whenever she does something dangerous a vision of Edward appears... this causes her to purchase a broken down motorcycle which she wants Jacob to fix...

Jacob agrees & he & Bella start to spend a lot of time together... until Jacob has to accept his birth right as a werewolf... as one would imagine, this is where it starts it to get complicated...

Victoria returns to kill Bella & without the protection of Edward, Jacob & his family take on the task... well the werevolves fight vampires anyway, but Jacob makes it his business to look after Bella... In addition to that, Edward is lead to believe Bella has died & he wants the volturi to end his life... Bella goes to Italy to prove she is alive & the Cullens return to town (in short)

The Cullens have a treaty with the werewolves which keeps the peace between the two clans... & naturally Bella threatens to disrupt that treaty because the huzzy has managed to fall in love with both Edward & Jacob... & they are both in love with her as well...

New Moon ends on the note that Bella will be changed into a Vampire, something she has wanted for a long time... not to mention both she & Edwards lives were spared because they promised the volturi she would be changed... however; if any one in the Cullens clan bites a human the treaty is null & void...

What to do what to do... if you read the books, I'm sure your ahead of the curve... if not, you won't have to wait very long to find out what happens in the movie version... Eclipse hits theaters June 30. 2010!
